About me
Hi, I’m Kirsty, the founder of Loch and Lumen Therapy. Alongside running my practice, I also work as an Executive Assistant and I’m a mum, so I understand first-hand how overwhelming modern life can feel. Balancing work, family, and the constant pressure to “keep it all together” can leave anyone stretched thin. That’s why creating a calm, supportive space for others matters so much to me.
In my therapy work, I use evidence‑based CBT techniques to help you make sense of what you’re feeling, build healthier coping tools, and move toward a life that feels more grounded and manageable. My approach is warm, down‑to‑earth, and practical. We work together at your pace, focusing on what genuinely supports your wellbeing.
Outside of work, I love travelling, going to gigs, and spending time outdoors. Nature and music keep me balanced and inspired - and I believe everyone deserves moments of clarity and calm in their own lives.
If you’re ready to talk, I’m here to help you take the next step.

My approach
While I use the Cognitive Behavioural framework, I also integrate tools from different modalities, including compassion focussed techniques, solution focussed therapy and metacognitive therapy. This way, I can provide a tailored and unique approach to your therapeutic journey.
Using a combination of these techniques, I work with you to explore the issues that are impacting your daily life and help unearth the roots of these issues. Ultimately, I help you reach specific goals along your journey, through growth and change.
I provide a safe space, where you feel heard, valued and understood. Here, we work together to discover the solutions you need and to give you the tools to become your own therapist.
We can all live more fulfilled, purposeful and empowered lives.
I'm here to help you discover yours.
